Can INVT.DAT data be Accessed Through an API?

Yes, the INVT.DAT report - "Inventory in Custody" data FTP report.  This data can be accessed in the GetInventoryHistorySummary endpoint in the Inventory library.  

These reports are similar to AIM190R1 reporting in the Reporting App on the Magellan portal. 

Notes: 
  • StartDate must be within the last 90 days in the GetInventoryHistorySummary endpoint.
  • The API returns reserved and non-reserved volumes as separate values, while the INVT.DAT report returns a single value with a flag indicating reserved status.

    • To match the total shown in the report and in INVT.dat, you need to add the Total Value and the Total Reserved numbers together.

Here are two mapping table from the existing report to the corresponding API field name. 
  • API -  GetInventoryHistorySummary (Inventory) - Left
    • Recommended: Version 3+
  • FTP - INVT.DAT - Right
